Welcome back Hargreaves class

A few of Hargreaves class settling into a new routine
Today, as you know, the children started back at school and into their new classes. In year 1 and 2 it was all change, with either a new teacher or a new room to get used to. Everyone seemed happy and settled and when asked were enjoying their day.

The children who were previously in McKee and Carle are busy learning about the timetable. They now have play times and assemblies to get used to along with the rest of the school and they seemed excited to not be the youngest any more.

In Hargreaves we also began to learn out our Roald Dahl book - Fantastic Mr Fox.  Some people already knew the story, but no one objected to listening to some of it today.

Well done to those of you who remembered to bring in your photographs, scrapbooks, diaries and other items today. We will gradually make our way through them all.

It was also great to see just how many people remembered to bring their book bag and water bottle. Please keep bringing these to school every single day.

If you did not return your PE kit, sun hat and wellies to school, please do that as soon as possible because you will be needing them very soon.

Mrs Matthews had a fantastic first day with Hargreaves class and hopes they did too.

  1. Thank you Mrs MattHews for keeping us updated.
Emily enjoyed very much her first 2 days back at school.
And I'm looking forward reading the end of "Fantastic Mr Fox" as it's new to me and my culture background.

    1. Thank you. Maybe Emily (or yourself) could share some traditional French tales with us at some point.
