Today Inkpen, Carle and McKee entertained their families with their version of Tadpole Rag. The children worked very hard to learn their words, the dances and to make their costumes and the scenery.
As is our tradition, after the performance we held a giant picnic where the children and their family could eat together and then ate ice cream.

Many thanks to all the friends and family who helped make this day special by watching the performance and making such lovely comments afterwards. Some of you asked how to let the children know how much you enjoyed it, well here is one way, make a comment on the blog!
After the performance R said she enjoyed singing the songs and being a frog, D said he like it all, A said he liked saying herpetologist and T said the picnic was the best bit.
Many thanks also to Mrs Shaw who found it very funny that her daughter who is half French was cast as a frog and shared the joke with us afterwards. We wondered why she kept laughing at us!
This is a short clip filmed by one of our year 6 girls.
It was a fantastic show. Well done to those who produced it, taught the children the songs and made the costumes. I am so glad I saw this and also the caterpillar one last year. I will miss this now my grand child is no longer in the early years. Do you do plays further up the school?
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed it. Every year group gets a chance to perform and so you will have plenty more chances to see your talented grandchild. Year 1 & 2 alternate with Year 3 & 4 and so will perform an Easter play and a Christmas one onver a two year cycle. Hope you enjoy those as much.
