Big Body Blood Run

Today Years 3 and 4 were very fortunate to participate in a science week workshop run by GlaxoSmithKline.  We learned all about the blood in our bodies, how we make energy, and how the red and white blood cells operate.

The Water Cycle

Lewis Class investigated the processes of evaporation and condensation this afternoon when we recreated the water cycle in a plastic bag.

RE dance workshops

Today, Lewis Class had a dance workshop with Springs Dance Company.  We performed a dance which was themed around 'The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.'

We used the story to make links between Jesus sacrificing himself for us as Aslan did in the story.

Science morning

Lewis Class had a great morning with some scientists from Glaxo. 

Basketball

Lewis Class have been enjoying basketball in the sunshine today. The focus has been on pivoting. 

Emotions

In PSHE, we have been learning to recognise different emotions. Can you recognise any of these?

Harvest Service at St Alban's Cathedral

Lewis Class were privileged to be invited by the diocese to take part in the Church Schools' Harvest Festival 'Celebrating Harvest with Joy' on Tuesday 4th October.  Everyone sang their hearts out, enjoyed a picnic in the grounds and then had a look around the Cathedral. 

Lewis Class loved Celtic Harmony

We loved learning all about the lives of people in the Stone Age. We made dens, spear throwing and made arrow heads to name but a few of the great activities.
