Fiesta Nacional de Espana

Today we have celebrated our third annual cultural day.  This time we focused on Spain.  Children came dressed in red and yellow (and some in flamenco dresses) and did a variety of activities focusing on learning all about Spain and its people.  We also tasted some traditional Spanish omelettes which were delicious.

Examples of activities carried out include:

Flamenco music and dancing.
Art work inspired by Pablo Picasso or Gaudi.
Tesselation work inspired by the Alahmbra.
Finding out where in the world Spain is and important people and buildings there.
Spanish stories.
Learning basic Spanish language.
And lots more...

Here are some photos from year 5/6.

Many thanks to the wonderful volunteers who gave their time to supporting us today.  We really appreciate all your help.

Next Thursday, children will be sharing their favourite activity from today during our Celebration assembly.
