Hottest June day since 1976
What better time to investigate capacity and volume, especially because Mrs Matthews was NOT telling us to stay dry!
PSHE in Nursery
This week we've focused on being a good friend and what it looks like.
We listened to the song 'you've got a friend in me' from Toy Story. We discussed being a good friend and sorted some pictures into two groups.
Then we told the children we would look out for 'good friends' and take photos.....

We also had a close look at some beans....which had more inside?
Well done to all the children for taking part with sports day, you were fantastic!!

Lego
We were very fortunate to have a master builder come into school and leave a surprise Lego scene in Potter. This was then moved to Hargreaves and finally Butterworth.
The Lego seaside town, neatly linked the previous topic, Lego, to the new one which is Seaside. The children used the models to draw aerial views. Thank you Mr Neely

Music day in Hargreaves
Hargreaves class listened to the ‘Storm’
Interlude from ‘Peter Grimes’ by Benjamin Britten and then responded with paint and collage. They also have some descriptions which we will share at a letter date.
