This week in Nursery, we have been going dinosaur mad!

We read the book "Dinosaur Bones" and then made our own pastry ones.

We have had a dinosaur small world area and discovered that there are many different ways of sorting our small dinosaurs.

Outside, we have started to add to our large construction equipment and have been busy creating our own obstacle courses.

Welcome to Campbell Class Blog

We have been chatting about how we can show kindness to each other here in class and at home. The children came up with some lovely suggestions and throughout our sessions we are taking time to notice acts of love and kindness.
We have started our class cooking with a simple play dough session. The children will have come home with their very own dough, made by themselves along with a set of instructions - maybe you would like to make some with your child at home? Play dough fun is excellent for consolidating and improving fine motor skills.
We also looked at Remembrance Day, why we wear poppies and had a go at making our own. we will continue this next week.

Charanga

On Wednesday we held another Charanga assembly, which was enjoyed by staff and children alike.

The children had a chance to sing, play instruments and enjoy listening to each other perform. There were lots of smiles on their faces during this time.

KS1 - sang Hands, Feet and Heart. Hughes class played the Glockenspiels

Years 3 and 4 - sang Mama Mia. Walliams class played the Glockenspiels plus a variety of percussion instruments..

Years 5 and 6 - sang Happy. Some members of Rowling played the descant recorder.

Well done to everyone for all their hard work and lots of children have since commented how much they enjoy this assembly.
