Yes, it rained, no, the ice cream machine was not well, no, some of us, did not get to go to the park (because of the rain!). HOWEVER we are KS1 and we had fun regardless! We built castles, dug holes, paddled, jumped waves and enjoyed
each others company. Thank you to all who helped today and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Incredible Edibles
Today, Hargreaves class harvested and ate some of the food we have grown this term. Not everyone liked everything, but, with only one exception, all the children tried everything and some came back for more!

A "beary" good week in Inkpen!
This week we have enjoyed a Teddy Bear's picnic and making the sandwiches ourselves. We read 'We're going on a bear hunt' by Michael Rosen and acted it out...inside and outside!
Anglia in Bloom
Today we were visited by John and Jan Wing and two judges from Anglia in Blloom. Three children, from Hargreaves class, escorted our visitors around school and talked about the various gardening projects.
The two judges said they enjoyed meeting the children, as they walked around, and what a happy school we seemed to be.

Incredible Edibles
Today, we were visited by the Ware in Bloom incredible edible judges. The children were delighted to be awarded "Silver" and enjoyed helping Sylvia dig up some of our potatoes. They also gave us a bag of goodies as a prize. Well done all who helped us with our Year 1 allotment.

Helping Mrs Grinling
Mrs Gringling scared off the seagulls by making mustard sandwiches! Today Hargreaves tried to help her out, just in case Fred, Bert or Tom decide to come back, by testing various sandwich fillers. Once again fish paste was a favourite and surprisingly,
this year, mustard was a firm favourite! (Don't tell those pesky seagulls!)
Positional language
Today we were learning about positional language and so spent time outside following directions and giving them.
Ware In Bloom
You may have noticed all the gardening, going on, around school; there are many projects being undertaken. Today, Hargreaves class gave a helping hand. Anglia in Bloom are coming to visit on a Friday and so we planted up the front flower beds.
The children are very proud of their gardening skills and I am proud of their hard work! Many thanks to Ware in Bloom for providing the plants.
