KINEX Challenge day

Just before Easter the year five children had an opportunity to take part in a KINEX challenge.
They worked in pairs to design and make a safety helmet.  The children showed great imagination producing creative and even unusual helmets!

The morning session winners were Kyla-Mae Caulfield and Hannah Twigg.  They managed to over come their initial lack of confidence turning their ideas and design  into a successful, well thought out fire officers helmet.

The afternoon session winners were Olivia Saunders and Jack Davies. There helmet was an interesting solution to the safety associated with using a trampoline! Although some aspects were considered futuristic, the design was well thought out and fitted well.

All the children showed great team work and were praised on their excellent behaviour throughout the day.  Well done to all the children who took part! And thank you to Mr. Burridge for all his help and support on the day.
