Year 1 and the Great Fire of London

This half term Year 1 and 2 are learning about the Great Fire of London. So far we have looked at some of the story, have learnt about Samuel Pepys - did you know his glasses had green lenses, have assisted Dr. Who in his fact gathering exploits and have begun to think about writing our own version on the events.

During their Child initiated learning time, the Year 1 children have been able to explore this topic in their own way and this has involved lots of model making, book writing, picture drawing and role play.
